He initiated and established a local charity in Scotland with a turnover of \u00a3500,000 before taking on a national development role. He was involved in establishing the first project in Scotland to be financed using Social Impact Investment. Using the learning from this experience Ian worked with Morton Fraser Solicitors to design the Social Impact Investment Partnership as a streamlined, community based Social Impact Investment financing structure for use across the Social Sector. Ian is passionate about getting alongside locally based Social Sector organisations and enabling them to use Social Impact Investment to deliver services which bring real change to real people in real communities and initiate transformational change to the delivery of services to the public.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][vc_column_text]

He is heavily involved in the Social Sector as Board Member of a number of Charities with a particular interest in the areas of health and wellbeing. Alex is committed to a Scotland where enterprise is at the heart of individuals, communities, and organisations; where people in Scotland seize and create their own opportunities; and enterprise defines our behaviours. Aware of the need for systemic change Kieran spent time working in research for a number of Members of the Scottish Parliament where he developed a detailed appreciation of how the political process is manged to deliver change and enhance the quality of life of individual across communities. He has extensive experience in designing and setting up new organisations, programmes and projects – with a particular focus upon strategic\u00a0planning, governance and partnership working.<\/p>\n

Prior to moving to Ofcom in 2018 to lead its online strategy and planning team he spent four years with the Centre for Social Impact Bonds and led the design and creation of the Life Chances Fund – an \u00a380m fund centred upon driving closer collaboration between local and central government and front line organisations by focusing upon a shared desire to deliver better outcomes for people and communities across the country.<\/p>\n
